As you probably know, the elves live on Santas North Pole.
They are hard working little folk and they have pointy ears, and thay you did know too.
We however have collected some facts on elves you probably didn't know.
The elves originally come from Lappi.
The pointy ears are necessary to hear high tones and noise coming from far far away.
Without elves you say? No way! Xmas wouldn't be without the elves.
Amoungst elves there are male and female elves, but they are called different:
A male elf is called "Ellon", and a female elf "Elleth"
Santas elves do speak a whole lot of different languages, but on Santas North Pole they speak Finnish with an elve-dialect.
No, but elves do have a phrase; "kesken" they say completely at random. In English that is "spoken and kept silent amoung us". They do tend to look verry mysterious whilst using it.
Yes, elves are magic. The first elves did fall into a pile of 'stardust'. In that pile was so much magic that until now all elves get that magic from birth on.
Santas elves do get verry old, how old? No one knows. A long long time ago they didn't have a birth register and nothing was written when an elf was born.

No, Santa is not an elf.
Yes, Santas elves do fly quick from the North Pole over here and back again within a blink of an eye.
In general just 1. But there are cases known of elf couples that did get two just like that.
One would asume, seeing the number of gifts to be made and wrapped and deliverd that there are at least a thousand. But then again, you forget one thing: elves are magic!
Even Santa himself doesnt know exactly how many, he when asked, estimates about 400. But misses Clause knows best. She has to bake the cookies for them! And in general every elf just gets one cookie. Every hour. She knows how many there are but as she will tell you when asked: its not an important thing.
If there is one thing elves do realy love, then its to sing.
During work, one can hear them sing a song they made themselves:
